Florida's unemployment rate hasn't been this low in a decade!
Governor Rick Scott announced Friday morning that the jobless rate in October fell to 3.6 percent with more than 127,000 jobs created that month.
Private-sector industries gaining the most jobs over-the-year were:
- Professional and business services: 38,900 new jobs
- Trade, transportation and utilities: 38,300 new jobs
- Construction: 35,600 new jobs
- Education and health services: 17,600 new jobs
- Other services: 17,600 new jobs
- Florida job postings: 240,297 openings in October
Miami-Dade's unemployment rate fell a 0.1 percent to 4.6 percent.
Broward's remained flat at 3.3 percent.
