The suspension of Greek life activities (fraternities and sororities) at Florida State University could go statewide.
The state university Board of Governors is supporting FSU President John Thrasher's decision and says other state schools might need to follow his lead.
Thrasher suspended all fraternities and sororities after a pledge died following an off-campus party.
The Board of Governors recommended that system-wide action be considered at its January meeting in Tallahassee.
