As King Tides continue this weekend a group is using the opportunity to raise awareness. It's a part of the "The 2nd Annual King Tide Flooding event." Nearly 100 community members are expected to join the 'Sea Level Rise Solutions' group on the corner of Adams and South 10th Avenue in East Hollywood Sunday at 9 a.m.
Scott Lewis with the group 'Sea Level Rise Solutions' says it's a way to see climate change firsthand.
"As the sea level rises, we're going to get more and more of this kind of thing over the years," said Lewis.
He says his group has monthly meetings to educate people on sea level rise. Lewis says the goal is to raise awareness and mitigate climate change.
According to meteorologists, this should be the last round of King Tides for the year.
