"The Cut Cut Cut Act" - GOP Tax Reform's New Name?

President Donald Trump wants to call the new GOP tax reform bill "The Cut Cut Cut Act."

House Republicans introduced the new bill Thursday morning. Lawmakers are reportedly fighting over what to call it.

The writers of the legislation reportedly want the bill's name to reflect that it's a tax reform package, but multiple sources say Trump is insisting that the bill be called "The Cut Cut Cut Act."

The Ways and Means Committee will allegedly have the final say over the name.

However, there has allegedly been back-and-forth between House Speaker Paul Ryan and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady about the name of the bill, including multiple phone calls in the past week.

Ryan and Brady have pushed back on the name of the bill. However, Trump has held firm.
