Fantasy Fest will come to a close this weekend in Key West, but not before its biggest party... the Fantasy Fest Parade!
Tens of thousands of costumed revelers are expected to pack Duval Street on Saturday, as floats glide down the road (think Mardi Gras... with a Halloween... and a Florida Keys flair).
This year's theme is Time Travel Unravels.
During the parade, prizes will be awarded for:
- Best live music: $500
- Best bicycle: $500
- Best walking group: $500
- Best float for a cause: $500 donated to the cause
- "Irmageddon" award: $500
- Best in entertainment: $1000
- Best in costume: $1000
- Best in creativity: $1000
- Grand prize overall winner: $2000
Monroe County residents are also eligible to win the float grand prize of $7,500 and second prize of $2,500 presented by the Key West Chamber of Commerce.
The parade kicks off at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
The 10-day festival wraps up on Sunday.
