A 14-year-old girl was struck by a car Tuesday morning, as she was walking to school in northwest Miami-Dade.
At around the same time, another teen was struck by a car near a Miami Gardens school.
That teen girl was walking to North Miami Beach Middle School near Northwest 159th Street and N. Miami Avenue when she was hit by the car around 6:30 a.m.
The girl was taken by air rescue to a nearby hospital with what's believed to be a broken arm.
Officials said the driver crashed into an iron fence after hitting the teen, but stayed at the scene.
