A 20-year-old University of Florida student is died after falling from a third-floor balcony at an apartment complex on Saturday.
Gainesville Police Department Lt. Paris Owens said witnesses called police when they saw Ian Burns fall shortly after 6 p.m.
Burns was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital. didn't indicate when he died.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel says Burns attended high school in Riviera Beach and that his family lives in West Palm Beach.
The report also didn't say how Burns fell. No further details were immediately available.
Police are continuing to investigate the situation.
