Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the death of a homeless man whose body was found near a vacant building in Fort Lauderdale Saturday night.
Authorities say a passerby found the body on the ground at the 1900 block of South State Road 7.
That person called 911 believing the man needed medical assistance, according to officials. Once BCSO deputies arrived, they realized the man had been beaten to death.
The victim has been identified as 46-year-old homeless man Youssef Hamraoui.
Anyone with information is asked to call BSO Detectives at 954-321-4200. Tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward.
