Fourteen people were transported from Miami Middle School to local hospitals Wednesday after falling ill to what rescue crews said was a possible propane leak inside.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Hazmat teams responded to the school just before 11:45 a.m. to find more than a dozen school employees outside of the cafeteria.
The adults complained of being nauseous, dizzy and experiencing fatigue.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools said they were taken to the hospital, where their conditions are unknown. No students were affected.
Crews are continuing to investigating the incident.
