A Florida transport officer has been arrested after allegedly making sexual advances on a woman who was in his custody.
Nicholas Aitchison was responsible for transporting prisoners between the Daytona Beach Police Department and the Volusia County Jail. However, investigators say earlier this year that Aitchison pulled off the road and told a female inmate to perform a sex act.
She says she refused, and later pressed charges.
The officer is charged with battery, indecent exposure and false imprisonment.
Aitchison was released from jail and remains employed by the police department.
He was hired on March 3 as a part-time officer and his primary function was prisoner transport.
