A woman died early Thursday, after getting hit by two cars while attempting to cross a busy road in Coral Springs.
The crash happened as 78-year-old Olive Andrews crossed University Drive, just north of Ramblewood Drive, a half-mile from her home, according to police.
Authorities say a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox SUV hit Andrews and knocked her to the ground, Coral Springs police Sgt. Carla Kmiotek said.
As Andrews lay in the roadway, she was struck again by a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, Kmiotek said.
Andrews was rushed to Broward Health North where she was pronounced dead shortly after 8 a.m.
Authorities say the drivers involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
