Florida will be looking for a new director of the Division of Emergency Management.
At West Palm Beach on Tuesday, Governor Rick Scott announced the resignation of Bryan Koon, who is leaving to pursue an opportunity in the private sector.
The governor said that, under Koon's leadership, Florida has been recognized as a national leader in emergency preparedness.
He'll be replaced on an interim basis by the Division of Emergency Management's chief of staff, Wes Maul.
