FL Man Arrested In Publix Lot After Performing 'Fast & Furious'-Type Stunts

A Fort Myers man who might have thought he was starring in a "Fast and Furious" sequel is under arrest.

Nineteen-year-old Hector Manso-Paz was allegedly doing movie-type car stunts in the parking lot of a Publix on Hancock Bridge in Cape Coral shortly after midnight Sunday.

Manso-Paz was said to be speeding and performing drift maneuvers in his orange Scion.

According to police, the Scion nearly struck another vehicle and there were several onlookers on foot in the parking lot.

But among those catching his act were Cape Coral police officers, who arrested him for reckless driving as well as drug possession after finding a baggie of cocaine in his car.

Manso-Paz has since been released from jail on a $5,500 bond.
