Two people were injured on Florida's Turnpike Tuesday, when a utility truck was involved in a rollover crash in Florida City.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike near the off-ramp to U.S. 1.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said two people were airlifted to a local hospital as a result of the crash. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
It's unknown what caused the crash. The crash was causing backups in the area.
Utility trucks have been streaming into South Florida and the Florida Keys as companies work to restore power following Hurricane Irma.
