A 3-year-old Lauderhill girl is in the hospital -- for serious burns caused by boiling water.
Officials with Lauderhill Fire-Rescue said the child was injured sometime Monday night at a home on Blueberry Court.
She was taken to the trauma unit at Broward Health Medical Center for injuries to 40 percent of her body.
The circumstances surrounding the incident that led the girl's injuries are under investigation.
