FL Panthers Collect Over 50 Palettes Of Relief Items For Florida Keys

Thanks to the Florida Panthers, more than 50 pallets of Hurricane Irma relief supplies are now on their way to the Florida Key. 

Shipments of relief supplies were pushed out of the BB&T Center in Sunrise Tuesday morning. 

The food and items were collected over the weekend during drive conducted by the NHL team, along with South Florida Ford, the BB&T Center, and the Panther's Ice Den.

"It's all about taking action," Panther's CEO Matt Caldwell said in an interview with Fox Sports Minute. "Monetary contributions are important, but it is also important to have boots on the ground."

The items, which included: 

  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Medical and hygiene supplies
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Paper/plastic products
  • Water

... are on their way to the Florida Keys now!
