I-75 To Remain Open For Evacuated Floridians Attempting To Return Home

There's good news for Floridians trying to get home after Irma: Interstate 75 will remain open.

The Florida Department of Transportation warned Wednesday that flooding of the Santa Fe River in Alachua County could force them to close the highway between I-10 and State Road 441.

But, as of Thursday morning, FDOT said its engineers and state meteorologists do not believe that the Santa Fe will reach a level to make I-75 unsafe.
