South Florida: Here's How To Give Back To Those Impacted By Hurricane Irma

As Hurricane Irma blows over South Florida, the Miami Foundation is hoping to lend a hand to those most in need.

People across our region are feeling the effects of the storm. Therefore, it's important we do what we can to aide in the clean up and restoration of beautiful South Florida.

The Miami Fund has set up four different opportunities to donate and give back to those devastated by Hurricane Irma:

  • The Hurricane Relief Fund: supports the recovery and rebuilding work driven by organizations on the ground
  • Irma Community Recovery Fund: supports relief efforts for Florida’s marginalized communities, ensuring residents in poverty have access to critical services and resources
  • Irma Caribbean Strong Relief Fund: supports relief efforts in small Caribbean island nations and territories, including Antigua & Barbuda, U.S. Virgin Islands and the Bahamas

The Miami Foundation works hand-in-hand with individuals, families and corporations who have created more than 1,000 personalized, philanthropic Funds.

Since being founded in 1967, the Miami Foundation has awarded over $250 million in grants and manages more than $300 million to address the community’s needs.
