Young At Art Museum Hosts "Hurricane Camp" For Children Out Of School

If you're all set with your hurricane preparations and looking for something to do with the kids while they're out of school Thursday, there are several scientific options that will help our younger residents better understand hurricanes.

The Young At Art Museum, located at 751 SW 121st Ave. in Davie, is hosting a one day "Hurricane Camp."

The "Over the Rainbow" camp will give kids (ages 3-4 and ages 5-12) the chance to create their own imagery using chalk pastels of the perfect world at the end of the rainbow.

Campers will also enjoy the museum galleries.

Tuition is $55 per day for members, $60 per day for non-members, $15 per day for extended care (8 a.m. - 9 a.m. & 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.)

A pizza lunch and two snacks will also be available for an extra $8.

For more information, visit youngatartmuseum.org/yaa_camps.php or call 954-424-5031.

Walk-ins are welcome to attend the one-day Hurricane Camp.
