SpaceX will attempt to launch a military spacecraft before Hurricane Irma hits Florida.

The launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral is scheduled for Thursday between 9:50 a.m. and 2:55 p.m. Eastern time.

The Falcon 9 rocket is set to carry an Air Force space drone that's conducted highly classified missions in the past.

As per a Facebook post from SpaceX Thursday morning, current weather conditions are 50 percent in-favor for today’s ~5 hour launch window.

You can watch a live webcast of the launch, which will go live approximately 10 minutes before liftoff, here:

A backup launch window is available on Friday, September 8.
