South Florida Gas Prices Soar, Remain High Due To Storms

The price of gasoline in throughout the state, which spiked following Hurricane Harvey, is at its most expensive, or course, in South Florida.

According to AAA, the West Palm Beach and Boca Raton area currently holds the title of highest average price per gallon at $2.78.

That's up 37 cents over the past week.

The next highest average prices are:

  • Miami, $2.72 a gallon
  • Fort Lauderdale, $2.71.

With Hurricane Irma on the way, lower gas prices are not likely anytime soon.
