Florida Gas Prices Soar Due To Hurricane Harvey

Florida gas prices are jumping, largely in part thanks to Hurricane Harvey.

The statewide average for a gallon of regular gas is now $2.50 per gallon, increasing a total of 19 cents in just one week.

AAA says drivers should expect prices to continue going up because of refineries being shut down and high demand over the Labor Day weekend.

The highest prices in the state right now are in West Palm Beach, at $2.59 per gallon.

Tampa Bay has the lowest prices in the state right now, at $2.46.
