South Florida Gas Prices Are On The Rise, Expected To Continue

Prices at the pump are on the rise in South Florida.

AAA says that trend is likely to continue, thanks to the after-effects of Hurricane Harvey.

Since last week, motorists are paying:

  • $0.04 more in Miami
  • $0.05 more in West Palm Beach
  • $0.06 more in Fort Lauderdale
  • $0.09 more in Fort Myers

**Those increases are per gallon.

AAA says Harvey hit a major supply line, causing multiple refineries and drilling rigs to be evacuated and the Houston Ship Channel to be closed.

That could result in increases at the pump of 30 cents-per-gallon or more.
