Pines Police Search For Three Involved In Shooting, Attempted Car Jacking

Police in Pembroke Pines are searching for three men involved in an overnight car jacking. 

Around 6:15 Sunday night, authorities say 33-year-old Gerald Wynter was waiting at a stoplight near Broward College South Campus. While waiting, two of the three suspects, armed with a handgun, tried to take his 2011 Nissan 370Z.

Wynter was able to escape. A shot was fired into the back of his car but he was not injured.

Police say the men are believed to have been driving a black 2010 Nissan Versa with Florida license plate EHKW68.
