Venus Williams Will Turn Over Phone Records Related To Deadly PBG Crash

Venus Williams is going to turn over her cell phone records to attorneys representing the family of a 78-year-old man who died after a Palm Beach Gardens auto accident involving the tennis star.

Jerome Barson died nearly two weeks after the crash on June 9.

Barson's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Williams following the incident.

Palm Beach Gardens police said Williams had a green light, but stopped in an intersection to avoid colliding with a car turning in front of her.

Although William's wasn't charged, attorneys for Barson’s family allege Williams was distracted at the time of the crash.

The family’s lawyers filed more than one motion specifically seeking access to Williams’ phone. Lawyers want to study Williams' cell phone records to see if she was distracted while driving.

On Tuesday, attorneys for both sides submitted an agreement, which was approved by the judge.

It's currently unclear how soon the phone records would be turned over to the family's lawyers.
