FL Officials Urge For Removal Of Confederate Monument From State Capitol

Fallout from the deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, is being felt in the Florida state capitol.  

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum and Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor have joined in the call for removal of a Confederate monument from the grounds of the state capitol building.  

Gillum is asking Governor Rick Scott to get involved in the issue.  

Proctor sent an open letter to the state Legislature.
