Authorities have confirmed that the fugitive Barcelona shooting suspect was shot and killed by Spanish authorities Monday.
Younes Abouyaaquoub, 22, is believed to have been the driver that rammed a van into pedestrians at the Las Ramblas shopping promenade in Barcelona Thursday.
The incident left 13 people dead and more than 100 injured.
Abouyaaquoub escaped the scene on foot, stabbed another driver to death and took his car before mowing down a policewoman, according to authorities.
Spanish police shot the man Monday. They say he was wearing an explosive belt.
Fox News reports that police were using a robot to determine if the bomb belt was real. Terrorists shot last week were wearing fake bomb belts.
