As of Monday, Aug. 21, school is back in session for more than 350,000 public school students and their families in Miami-Dade County.
Instead of scrambling last minute, or even after school is in session, to prepare for the 2017-18 year, Miami-Dade is providing an online "Back-To-School Toolkit" to aide in a smooth and comfortable transition.
Miami-Dade's online toolkit links families to information regarding:
- School calendars
- Before and after-school care information
- Meal menus
- Student code of conduct
- Testing information and scheduling
- Transportation services
There are also resources to help parents and guardians get involved in their child’s education, monitor academic progress and much more.
The Miami-Dade Back-To-School Toolkit is also available in Spanish and Haitian-Creole.
