A Florida teenager is accused of creating a threat to murder her former school teacher on social media.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Desiree Zio, of New Port Richie, was arrested Sunday.
Zio reportedly admitted to posting a message on Facebook in which she said she would track down the River Ridge High School teacher and stab her to death.
Investigators say Zio wrote the threat on her mother’s Facebook page and sent it directly to the teacher. The teacher saw the post and immediately contacted authorities.
The teacher works at River Ridge; the teen is a senior at Marchman Technical College.
Zio is charged with making a written threat to kill or do bodily harm. A lawyer isn't listed on jail records.
