Dolphins Cornerback Tony Lippett Out For Season With Torn Achilles

Miami Dolphins cornerback Tony Lippett is out for the entire season due to a torn Achilles tendon.

Coach Adam Gase says Lippett will require surgery from the Monday practice injury. He says Lippett was injured without being touched while jumping.

Lippett, who started 13 games last season, was expected to be the Dolphins' No. 3 cornerback behind Byron Maxwell and Xavien Howard.

Miami earlier lost three key players: quarterback Ryan Tannehill, guard Ted Larsen and rookie middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan due to serious injuries.
