Someone doesn't seem to like the city leaders of Coral Gables - and has been criticizing them on social media.
The posts began appearing in May on social media pages titled "Coral Gables residents who care". Now, Coral Gables city leaders are fighting back in court.
The various social media accounts, run by an unknown person or persons, criticizes the city for its use of private security guards.
Not long after the posts were first discovered, the city threatened to fine Facebook and Instagram $500 per day if they didn't remove the posts.
Now, the city is suing the multi-billion-dollar businesses in an attempt to get the name, phone number, and address of whoever is responsible for the derogatory posts.
