Jay Cutler is back in Miami Monday morning, and, with that, back in the NFL for a one-year-deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered a potentially season-ending injury on August 3rd. That's allegedly when the team reached out to 34-year-old Cutler.
On Sunday, Cutler signed a reportedly $10 million contract with the Fins. He will also make up to $3 million in incentives this season.
The athlete originally retired from the game and the Chicago Bears in May and was expected to work as a Fox Sports game analyst next.
"We loved our time working with Jay and wish him the best back on the field this year with the Dolphins," Fox said in a statement on Sunday, August 6.
Cutler was originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2006, and played for them for three seasons before being traded to the Chicago Bears.
