Suspected Drug Dealer Busted In South Florida Park With 3 Kids In SUV

A suspected drug dealer was arrested after police found he was in possession of heroin, marijuana and cocaine and had three children in the back seat of his SUV at a Boynton Beach park.

David Coleman Jr., 23, of Delray Beach, was arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charges and three counts of child neglect.

Police say an anonymous source tipped that Coleman, who goes by the street name "Boogie," would be at Jaycee Park with a large amount of drugs.

Officers watched as Coleman, driving a 2012 Ford Edge with dark-tinted windows, pulled into the parking lot. When officers ordered Coleman out of the SUV, he refused.

Police say they then broke a window in an attempt to unlock the doors.

Eric Griffin, 29, an unidentified woman, and three children, ages 1, 2 and 5, were also in the SUV, police say.

Officers found 70 bags of heroin, marijuana and cocaine in the vehicle, as well as $4,251 in cash in Coleman's pocket.

Coleman confessed that he drove to the park to sell drugs, while Griffin claimed that he only uses heroin and doesn't sell drugs.

After both men were locked up at the Boynton Beach Police Department, police say Coleman and Griffin were talking to each other from under their cell doors.

"I should have punched it and ran, but they were on us too fast," Coleman told Griffin, police say.
