Operation Homefront Providing FREE School Supplies To Local Military Kids

Operation Homefront Back-to-School Brigade is providing children from the families of wounded warriors, active-duty, Guard and Reserve military personnel of all ranks free backpacks and school supplies!

Hundreds of backpacks and necessary school supplies will be distributed at two South Florida 'Brigade' events, both of which will be held Aug. 12 at Williams Army Reserve Center in Miami and at Homestead Air Reserve Base.

Shoppers may purchase and donate school supplies to the Back-to-School Brigade at any Dollar Tree store through August 10. Last year, Dollar Tree patrons donated more than $4.5 million of supplies nationally.

Only those families that register for the events will be eligible to shop for school supplies. To sign up for either South Florida Back-to-School Brigade, click here.

The Back-to-School Brigade takes place during Operation Homefront’s 1Mil1Fam campaign through July. The national nonprofit provides a variety of programs and services that help military families feel more connected to people and businesses in their community.
