The Hollywood Police Department is searching for a thief who stole a gun from a car early Tuesday morning.
Surveillance video caught the burglar opening an unlocked car's door around 1:30 a.m. at 3318 Cleveland Street.
The video shows the suspect search the vehicle and remove a gun from the glove box.

Before leaving on his bike with the weapon, the suspect wipes down the inside and outside of the car. Authorities believe he was going from house to house checking for unlocked door handles.
Authorities remind citizens to lock their doors and "Don’t give criminals easy access to your valuables, especially your firearm."
