A Port St. Lucie woman is facing a battery charge after she's accused of beating a fellow Miss Sailfish Regatta Bikini Contest competitor with a high heel.
The assault apparently happened off stage between the 24-year-old and her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office deputy working security at the event says the way Erica Mize remembers it, the other woman “told her she was going to ‘beat her (butt).’”
So when they left the stage the victim grabbed her arm.
When Mize tried to push her away she swung, and her shoe hit her, "but did not know where they made contact with her."
The victim claims the arm "yank" was a "tap on the shoulder" to talk.
