A Central Florida rabbi is accused of molesting a 15-year-old and getting her pregnant.
Lloyd Haughton, who is affiliated with Synagogue Beth Israel in Sanford, was arrested Wednesday after a nearly three-month-long investigation that began March 31.
The girl says Haughton had been molesting her for two years while she lived with him in Sanford. Her mother informed police one month into the investigation that the girl was pregnant and claimed Haughton was the father.
Haughton denied all allegations, according to Sanford police.
The victim has terminated her pregnancy, but the Florida Department of Law Enforcement determined Wednesday that Haughton was the biological father of the fetus, investigators say.
Haughton was arrested and charged with sexual battery by a custodian of a victim younger than 18 years old.
As of Wednesday, no other potential victims had been identified.
