Broward County wants your input on whether or not they should elect a mayor or continue to appoint one.
The Governance Subcommitte of the Charter Review Commission holding a public hearing Thursday night, listening to feedback from Broward County residents on the structure of their government.
Carlos Verney with the Charter Review Commission says there's a lot of interest with the topic of elected mayor.
"There have been some in the community who would like to see an elected mayor, there have been some in the community who would like to see the status quo remain in place," said Verney.
He says Broward County currently has an unelected mayor that's an appointed member of the Broward County Commission and rotates on annual basis.
The public hearing will take place in the County Commission Chambers, Room 422, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
