More Floridians Expected To Vacation This Year, Orlando Top Spot, Survey Says

With school out, summer travel is in full swing. And a new survey by AAA says Floridians will be vacationing more than usual this year.

The survey reveals finds that one-third of Americans will take a family vacation of 50 miles or more away from home in the near future. Breaking that down, nearly two-thirds of Floridians are those planning a vacation.

The most popular getaway is a beach or lake trip, with theme parks and ocean cruises coming in right behind.

Seventy-six percent of travelers said they’re planning a vacation ranging from three to eight days.

Orlando ranked as the top travel destinations in the world, according to the survey.

Vancouver, Canada, and Cancun, Mexico, were second and third on the list.
