James Comey's Father: "Trump Crossed A Line With His Tweet"

James Comey's father is speaking out, claiming that President Trump "crossed a line" when he tweeted that the former FBI director is "cowardly."

J. Brien Comey Senior spoke with a reporter for Bergen County, New Jersey's "The Record" newspaper on the phone Sunday afternoon. That was after his son and daughter-in-law went to Mass with him at the Allendale church the family has attended for years.

The 83-year-old Comey Senior said his son wasn't aware of Trump's "cowardly" barb in a tweet yesterday morning.

The elder Comey said, quote, "It's a good thing he didn't know."
