Motorcycle Crash Kills 25-Year-Old Woman In St. Petersburg

Authorities in St. Petersburg are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a 25-year-old woman Thursday night.

Authorities say 52-year-old Celina Soroa was driving a Ford Focus north in the 600 block of 28th Street South in the median lane around 6:15 p.m.

At the same time, Kassidy M. Titara was riding a 2007 Suzuki south on 28th Street South, nearing Sixth Avenue South.

Police say Soroa did not see Titara and made a westbound turn into the motorcycle's path. The bike struck the passenger’s side of the Ford, throwing Titara from the Suzuki.

Titara was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead at 7 p.m.

Police have not announced if any charges are being made in the case at this time.
