All of the 24 passengers aboard a flight from Key West are safe after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing Sunday.
Monroe County officials said Silver Airways Flight 82 from Key West to Tampa experienced engine problems shortly after takeoff yesterday from Key West International Airport.
The pilots were able to turn the Saab 340 around and land safely at Naval Air Station Key West. The passengers were then sent on their way on different flights.
The FAA is investigating.
