An unruly pig is creating havoc in Clermont, Florida.
Residents say the porker has been seen digging up gardens and trashing their yards.
The animal appears to be a domesticated, potbellied pig rather than a wild boar. Authorities say animal control officials told them that, since the pig is apparently a domesticated breed, it is likely an escaped or released pet rather than a wild animal.
The pig problem in Clermont is of a different sort than the one in the neighborhoods in nearby Orlando.
Avalon Park neighbors say a family of boars has been wandering in from a neighboring reserve and causing yard damage similar to Clermont's potbellied pig, but the more brazen wild animals have also been invading homes.
