The third annual Missing Children's Awareness and Prevention Rally will take place Thursday morning at Florida National University in Hialeah.
Law enforcement, elected officers, local institutions, medical entities, religious leaders, more than 900 students from 23 schools (elementary to college level) and many more will join together to raise awareness for the safety of youth in our community.
The goal of the rally is to collectively diminish the number of abductions throughout Miami-Dade County and beyond.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at 4425 West 20th Street in Hialeah (on the Florida National University campus).
Speakers include Homeland Security officials giving tips to students and Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez.
