Burglary Suspects Gets Booked Into Jail with Bloodied Face After Being Tased

A South Florida man was booked into jail with a bloody face after he attempted to run away from authorities who had already handcuffed him.

Surfside resident Carlos Sierra, 26, now faces charges of burglary, escape, criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence.

Surfside police say Sierra was burglarizing a garage within the Spiaggia condominium building on 95th Street Saturday when officers arrived.

Sierra was handcuffed and being put in the back of a police car when he broke free from an officer and took off, running south on Collins Avenue, the report said.

Police used a Taser gun to subdue Sierra, who they say injured his face in the stun gun-induced fall.

Sierra was taken to Aventura Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was then booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
