WATCH: Universal Unveils New, "All-Inclusive" Tapu Tapu Wristband For Volcano Bay

Leave your wallet and keys at home!

Universal Studios Orlando hopes to eliminate some of the hassles for guests at its new water park, opening May 25, by unveiling a new, multi-function wristband.

The "Tapu Tapu" band can pay for food, open lockers, trigger special effects, set spending limits on the kids and eliminate waiting in lines by sending alerts when it's your turn for a ride.

Tapu Tapu uses a combination of radio frequency, Bluetooth and near-field communication technology that allows electronic devices to communicate. It's the latest effort by theme parks to eliminate waits, go cashless and track guests through technology that allows workers to greet them by name or know what food they have ordered as they arrive at a restaurant.

Universal officials hope that the new wristband will eliminate "friction" at its parks.

While the Tapu Tapu band will only be used at the new Volcano Bay water park, Universal officials say other "frictionless"-driven technologies will show up at other Universal parks in the near future.
