The 31st Annual Governor's Hurricane Conference happening this week in West Palm Beach.
Florida Division of Emergency Management Director, Bryan Koon, says every year we learn something new about hurricanes.
"Having this conference right before hurricane season allows us to go into hurricane season with the latest, greatest process, technologies and understanding of what's happening out there," said Koon.
Over 1,600 businesses and industry representatives, first responders, state and federal volunteer agencies and medical professionals are expected to attend the training and conference.
