Opioid awareness making it's way to Broward County.
Earlier in the week, Acting U.S. Attorney Ben Greenberg hosted a Heroin and Opioid Town hall in Overtown at Booker T. Washington High School.
"It's a crisis that doesn't discriminate, it's a crisis that knows no boundaries and has become a crisis that is affecting every single community in the United States," said Greenberg.
The goal is to curb the opioid crisis with education. The Broward Sheriff's Office is hosting their Opioid Town Hall in Pompano Beach at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
