No need to ask customers in Coral Gables if they want paper or plastic anymore.
The city is now the first in Florida to ban the use of plastic bags.
City commissioners unanimously approved an ordinance which says retailers can not use the bags which are said to be bad for the environment.
Violators would first get warnings, and then they could be fined between $50 and $500.
