This week is dedicated to getting ready for hurricane season.
Weather Channel Meterologist, Mark Thibodeau, says it just takes one bad storm.
"Even though the forecast this year is for an average season, it only takes one, as we saw in 1992 with Hurricane Andrew. It's just a good idea to be prepared no matter how many or how few we're expecting because you never know when one could make landfall," said Thibodeau.
